Our Services

Data Transformation

Unlock the strategic value of your data.

We help public sector and financial services organisations transform data from a compliance burden into a genuine strategic asset, driving better decisions, faster delivery, and measurable cost savings.

Most large organisations are sitting on data they cannot act on. Siloed systems, legacy infrastructure, inconsistent governance, and a shortage of skilled people mean that data is collected but never truly exploited. Mayfair IT Consultancy changes that. Our data transformation practice brings together data engineers, architects, governance specialists, and programme managers to deliver end-to-end change, from strategy and architecture through to operational embedding. We have delivered data modernisation programmes for HMRC, DWP, the ONS, the Ministry of Justice, and the UK IPO, each with measurable improvements in data quality, analytical capability, and decision-making speed.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions.

How long does a data transformation programme typically take?

Timescales depend on the complexity and scale of your existing data estate. Engagements typically run from three months for targeted modernisation to two or more years for enterprise-wide programmes. We begin with a structured discovery phase, usually four to six weeks, which produces a realistic plan before we commit to a delivery timeline.

Do you work with Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud?

Yes. We have experience across all three major cloud platforms. Most UK government data programmes we work on use Azure, aligned to Cabinet Office guidance, but we bring platform-agnostic expertise and work within your approved technology estate.

Can MITC help with data governance as well as engineering?

Yes. Data governance is integrated into everything we do, not a separate workstream. We help organisations establish data catalogues, ownership frameworks, quality standards, and compliance processes alongside the technical build.

What security clearances does your data team hold?

Our data engineers and architects hold clearances including Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), Security Check (SC), and Developed Vetting (DV). We can mobilise SC cleared squads typically within five to ten working days of requirement sign-off.

How does MITC approach knowledge transfer at the end of an engagement?

Knowledge transfer is built into our delivery model from day one. We co-design documentation, run hands-on workshops, and work alongside your civil servant teams throughout. Our goal is to leave your organisation more capable — not dependent on us.
