Our Services
Network Infrastructure Security
Resilience, compliance, and protection. Built in, not bolted on.
We provide comprehensive network security services tailored to the specific threat profile and regulatory obligations of UK government departments and regulated financial institutions, from posture assessment through to sustained operational resilience.
Cyber threats targeting public sector infrastructure are becoming more frequent, more sophisticated, and more consequential. Legacy systems, complex supply chains, and constrained security budgets create structural vulnerabilities that cannot be addressed by point solutions alone. MITC takes a risk-led, strategic approach to network security, combining deep technical expertise with an understanding of the operational realities facing government organisations. We assess, design, implement, and improve security capability in a way that is proportionate, sustainable, and aligned to NCSC guidance, HMG security policy, and sector-specific regulatory requirements.

We provide network security services to central government departments, UK regulators, financial services firms, and organisations operating on Public Services Network (PSN) connected infrastructure. Our work spans compliance readiness, architecture review, and incident response preparedness.
Frameworks & Accreditations
Our Approach
How we work.
Assess
We conduct a structured assessment of your current security posture against relevant frameworks and your organisation's specific risk profile.
Prioritise
We present a risk-ranked set of recommendations, clearly distinguishing quick wins from longer-term architectural changes.
Remediate
Our engineers implement agreed mitigations and design changes, working within your change management processes.
Sustain
We build the internal capability and processes needed to maintain and improve your security posture independently.
Common Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Is MITC's network security work aligned to NCSC guidance?
Yes. Our security work is conducted in alignment with NCSC's Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF), the HMG Security Policy Framework, and sector-specific standards including PSN Code of Connection and PCI-DSS where applicable.
Can you support Cisco ISE implementation in a government environment?
Yes. We have delivered Cisco ISE network access control implementations in high-security government environments, including PSN-connected infrastructure, with zero-downtime requirements and SC cleared engineers throughout.
What is a cybersecurity posture assessment and how long does it take?
A posture assessment is a structured review of your security controls, policies, and architecture against a defined framework such as the NCSC CAF or ISO 27001. A standard assessment takes two to four weeks and produces a risk-ranked report with clear, prioritised recommendations.
Does MITC carry out penetration testing?
We co-ordinate and manage penetration testing engagements, working with CREST-accredited testing partners. We manage the full process — scoping, vendor selection, results review, and remediation planning — on your behalf.
What clearance levels do your security engineers hold?
Our network security engineers hold SC and DV clearances, enabling us to work on sensitive government infrastructure including PSN-connected networks, CJSM environments, and other high-security estates.
